Therefore, I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake.  For when I am weak, I am strong. 2 Corinthians 12:10

In this passage, Paul talks about how he had to get to the end of his rope to realize that he could not do it all. Many times, I prided myself on the fact that I can juggle so many things and get so much done at one time.  After awhile I realized that thinking like that was not wise.  I really thought I was supposed to give God a hand in everything I do.  For me, it was taking things over from God and trying to do it in my own strength that made me feel strong. I was wrong.

Have you ever done this before?  I think we all have. We have to know that God desires for us to fully lean on him.  Now, that takes faith to do. But when we realize we don’t have it all and the strength to carry our life is way too overwhelming, we are finally are getting somewhere with God.  When we know we are weak in our flesh, we are strong in him.

You can be much more productive in your life if you just give it all to him. He will work out the kinks of life and the difficulties you face.  As you learn to lean on him, you will find that sometimes you go backwards and start taking life back into your hands to fix.  But just give it back and allow him to bring it forth in his perfect timing. This is always the key for him to be present in your life.

Jesus, today I dedicate my life to you.  Every minute I give to you.  My time is yours.  For Paul said, “When I am weak, I am strong”.  I want to be strong by giving you my life and all that goes with it to you.   I ask you to give me strength and courage to go through this life. I give you my concerns, my hopes and visions for my life.  I tend to want to control my life but no longer will I do that.  My life is your life and I make you first priority.
